A village nestled in the heartof a plentiful environment
The Saint-Adelme parish, which dates back to 1931, was built during the great parish colonization period of the Chic-Chocs plateau. This area was formerly called Saint-Denis, but the pioneers of the time renamed the village Saint-Adelme. The fact is, and it’s quite comical, that the people chose to be protected by a Saint that did not exist, and the reasons behind the lobbying to rename the village are still unknown.
