An environment surrounded by forests and mountains

Located inland, the village of Saint-Jean-de-Cherbourg is at the heart of the Haut-Pays. Its drainage system is made up of multiple waterways, the main one being the Petite rivière Matane. This region is approximately 90% covered in forest, and this resource provides jobs for a large number of people in the labor force. The omnipresence of the forest, which surrounds this small village, makes this place seem wild.

At the foot of the Chic-Chocs Mountains, Saint-Jean-de-Cherbourg offers, particularly through its rural characteristic, viewpoints that will take your breath away. In Order to fully appreciate this plentiful environment; you can fish in the numerous streams or even hunt in the fall. For that matter, it is during this period that the village overcomes by an infinite amount of sparkling colors.
