Located in the lighthouse keeper's dwelling, the Tourist Information Office of Matane will charm you with its maritime decor and the quality of our services. Our personnel will be happy to help you plan your stay, and provide you with all the information you need for a great vacation in the Matane region. High-speed Internet service is provided free of charge. While you're here, why not visit our magnificent lighthouse, which is more than a century old, and offers a splendid view of the town and the sea.

Access to the region
A strategic crossroad where the great land and maritime routes meet, you can access Matane by traveling routes 132 and 195 or by taking the F.-A.-Gauthier ferry. Located 636 kilometres from Montreal, 400 kilometers from Quebec City and 65 kilometres from the regional airport, the region of Matane is also linked to all the major centres of North America by railroad, and to the rest of the world thanks to its seaport. Furthermore, this port is one of the most important seaports located east of Quebec City.
