Québec Musiques Parallèles (QMP) is a travelling event dedicated to experimental music and sound art, taking place throughout Quebec. This initiative brings together artists, producers and presenters working along the “parallel routes” of the music scene. QMP is a partnership between Quatuor Bozzini, E27 musiques nouvelles, Tour de Bras and the CEM.
MALQA
The trio MALQA presents contemporary music that erases stylistic boundaries and leads audiences into a trance-like experience. Palestinian artist Kamilya Jubran is a renowned oud player and singer who seamlessly blends traditional music with contemporary creation. She joins musicians Lo Guénin and Éric Brochard to form a unique trio whose music opens onto eclectic, boundary-free sonic landscapes.

Playful, radical, chaotic, precise and demanding, the music of the duo PLANT is rooted in a discipline of total improvisation and driven by an energy that pushes toward losing control and embracing the unknown. The duo brings together two musicians with remarkable techniques. Their technical setup: one plant and one amplifier. In front of these, they create music that is both fragile and remarkably intense.
Éric Normand (Canada) and Jim Denley (Australia) have formed PLANT since 2012. They have released three albums and performed extensively across Canada, Australia and Europe. Both musicians have exceptional careers, having crossed paths with some of the world’s leading improvisers and sonic innovators.
