Fueled by bluegrass and swing, the songs of Margaret Tracteur et les Faucheuses fauchées, the project of Gabrielle Noël Bégin, showcase a solid command of the fundamental ingredients of American folk music, along with a great deal of freedom. With a keen eye for observation, a good dose of humour and surprising vocal techniques, the artist invites audiences on a highly personal and colourful journey between tradition and modernity — one sure to delight both troublemakers and yodeling enthusiasts.

Taking the form of a female trio brought together for the occasion and featuring touring musicians Valéry St-Gelais (double bass) and Sandra Boulanger (violin), the group develops an organic, handcrafted sound to accompany lyrics that bring smiles, bring people together and let audiences of all kinds blow off some steam. They have performed in all their glory at the Francos de Montréal, FME, FestiVoix de Trois-Rivières, Québec Winter Carnival and Le Festif de Baie-Saint-Paul. The group also had the honour of serving as the house band for the GAMIQ in 2023 and appeared on the TV program La Grande veillée with Stéphane Archambault on ARTV.

The sun follows Margaret Tracteur et les Faucheuses fauchées along country roads and through cities in search of new adventures, and their infectious melodies, filled with common sense and joyful rage, will soon be filling your homes. You’ve been warned!
