Patche is so much more than a bunch of man-machines — even with all the electronic gear surrounding them, there’s plenty of feeling in the mix. Powered by five longtime friends who perform alongside or as members of Mon Doux Saigneur, Alex Burger, Klô Pelgag, Lumière, Duu and zouz, the Montreal instrumental combo dives headfirst into electro, with modular synthesizers front and centre, fueled by a punk edge through the addition of drum machines, acoustic drums, electric and synth bass, and even synthesized harmonica (!).

Patche’s sound is both psychedelic and motorik, built on hypnotic rhythms and unconventional loops, bringing together experimental rock, Berlin School techno, art rock, avant-garde and EDM in a swirling sonic universe.

The group has performed on major stages across Quebec (Montreal International Jazz Festival, La Noce, FME) as well as overseas (Pelpass Festival, Bars en Trans, Reeperbahn, Rockomotives…), including European and UK tours. Their hypnotic, immersive shows inevitably get audiences dancing — and sometimes even into a trance — with the crowd becoming an integral part of the experience.

Following Patche (2023) and Document (2024), Mode, their third album, is set to be released in October 2025 on the popop label.
