Safia Nolin, a unique figure in the contemporary art scene, embodies a powerful political voice. Her journey is one of a quest for identity, an exploration of difference and marginality. As a woman of color, a lesbian, and an artist who defies artistic norms, she challenges societal standards and expectations. Her aesthetic, at once raw and poetic, is a celebration of imperfection and authenticity.
Reprises Vol. 3 is rooted in nostalgia for high school in 2006. It’s a meeting between Safia in 2006—who has just dropped out of school—and Safia in 2026, an independent adult who is well-grounded both musically and mentally.
As in the two previous volumes, it’s a call to reconnect with our memories—an album driven as much by grunge as by the success of *Aucun Regret*.
