Vertigo Aventures is a nonprofit cooperative led by a board of directors made up of guides and passionate clients. Since 2002, its team has been leading off-piste snow sports packages in the Chic-Choc Mountains, and Vertigo is a proud producer member of Aventure Écotourisme Québec. The company offers its trips in two distinct areas, carefully selected and developed by Vertigo and its partners, from mid-January to mid-April.
Mont Blanc Area
The Mont Blanc ski area, located 450 km from Quebec City in the heart of the Matane Wildlife Reserve, is a vast mountain range rising over 1,000 meters in elevation. In addition, three other mountains make up this simply incredible ski area. Established in 2002, the Mont Blanc ski area is our home—our “Chez Soi.” We know every nook and cranny, every tree, every snowflake. The resort accommodates two groups that are highly unlikely to ever cross paths! Oh, and as a little bonus, we’ve set up a sauna for après-ski.
Mont Paul Area
The Mont Paul ski area, located 100 km further east in the Gaspésie National Park, ranks among the best off-piste skiing destinations in Eastern Canada. The fabulous terrain of Mont Paul and its surroundings is a true powder paradise. The surrounding mountains’ elevation of nearly 1,000 meters and the terrain make it a sure bet for impeccable powder conditions. Plus, the terrain is INSANE! All of us guides agree that it’s the most playful terrain we’ve ever skied in the Chic-Chocs. At Mont Paul, you feel like you’re the only ones in the world. What’s magical about Mont Paul is that we still discover new runs every year.
Exclusive Sites
These paradises, accessible only to Vertigo Adventures clients, offer countless downhill options with vertical drops ranging from 300 to 500 meters, all set against breathtaking mountain scenery that will delight backcountry skiing enthusiasts. Our services include snowmobile transportation (a 1- to 2-hour ride), comfortable yurt accommodations, and the guidance of a certified avalanche safety guide.
