This historic general store now turned into a tourist accommodation is the perfect spot for visitors seeking an unusual stay near the St Lawrence river! Old and new blend in perfectly in the two living areas: accommodation and store. Gorgeous scenery and calm will await you.
Armand Gauthier founded the general store, considered a staple amongst the people of the region, and ran it from the 1940’s to the 1970’s. The building closed down in 1978, its inventory under key for more than 25 years, until its reopening in 2004. A restaurant and museum were added, showing visitors items sold back in the day before it closed down again in 2013. The next owner refurbished the store and opened it again one more time in 2014 before closing again.
The new store’s owners are proud to announce its reopening this summer! It is the perfect spot for visitors looking for a restful stay in the area. One of the two living spaces represents the 'store area' and can greet up to 7 people while the other, named 'accommodation area', can greet up to 6 people. For a maximum capacity of guests, it is also possible to rent the entire property! The owners look forward to your visit!
