Echo 1975–2025: 50 Years of Public Art

In 2025, Matane will celebrate the 50^th anniversary of the Matane Sculpture Symposium with “Echo 1975–2025,” a vibrant tribute to its artistic heritage and a vision for the future. These festivities will highlight the city’s artistic influence by bringing together local artists, both professional and amateur, around public art projects and cultural mediation workshops.

The 50^th anniversary will be marked by a series of events designed to reunite those who contributed to the founding of this landmark initiative, the current cultural community, and the general public. Public art projects will be at the heart of the program, with the goal of increasing artistic interventions in Matane’s public spaces.
