Regional event where several outdoor activities (hiking, paddle boarding, rabaska, kayaking, climbing, horseback riding, etc.) take place simultaneously in the Lower St. Lawrence region. For the first edition, we will have three activities in Matanie!
Saturday September 3rd 2022 Beach Party at Sacré-Coeur Park in Baie-des-Sables Difficulty of the activity: Easy - For all!
Come discover and enjoy the St. Lawrence River by participating in activities and games organized on the beautiful beaches of Baie-des-Sables: volleyball, beach petanque, iron, kayaking, paddle boarding and more! This event is organized by Café La Caisse, a non-profit organization whose mission is to counter isolation.
Schedule: 11 am to 6 pm. If the weather is bad, it will be postponed to the next day.
Cost: Beach games are free. Opportunity to try paddleboarding free of charge.
Bring: Your paddleboards and kayaks, life jacket if you have one, beach chairs, reusable plates and glasses.
No reservation necessary.

Saturday September 17, 2022 Trails of the Grotte des Fées in Saint-Léandre Difficulty of the activity: Easy to moderate 3 km hike.
Combine hiking with culture by discovering the trails of the Grotte des Fées, the waterfalls and the footbridge over the river. Free guided tour: historical, geological and inauguration of the new sculpture in the presence of the artist Francine Ménard.
Schedule: 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by an aperitif and snack accompanied by a musician.
Drawing: participation prizes.
Bring: Walking shoes, water, hiking bag, snack and juice.

Saturday September 17, 2022 Guided hike with interpretation of the fauna and flora on the International Appalachian Trail in the Matane Wildlife Reserve Difficulty of the activity: Family and intermediate hike
2 guided hikes in the Matane Wildlife Reserve, with interpretation of the fauna and flora (family and intermediate type) followed by an aperitif at the campground La John. Inauguration / commemoration of the "Isabelle Paquet" family trail section. 2 guides per hike, maximum 24 people / hike.
1 joëllette place available, maneuvered by 2 experienced volunteers.
Schedule: 9:00 a.m. (both hikes) are offered by registration only.
Rate: $10 / person on a voluntary basis including SIA membership for the year.
Bring: hiking shoes, backpack, water bottles, sunscreen, lunch, snacks, windbreaker, walking sticks according to your habits and your good mood.
