Mytik Shack-Sucré

Stay in one of our Scandinavian-style chalets or in one of our ready-to-camp accommodations at the enchanting Mytik Shack-Sucré maple sugar shack, located in Saint-René-de-Matane.

Mytik’s location makes it an ideal destination for snowmobile enthusiasts, backcountry skiing or mountain hiking fans, and simply for anyone looking to escape into nature and enjoy some peace and quiet. Snowmobile club and ATV/quad trails run directly in front of the property, and the Matane Wildlife Reserve is nearby. There are numerous lakes in the area where you can fish for brook trout and lake trout. Salmon anglers will also be delighted by the proximity of the Matane River.

The four chalets, three ready-to-camp accommodations, and the reception building are spaced apart, ensuring guests privacy during their stay. Each chalet is equipped with a private spa, a small private outdoor fire pit, and a Big Green Egg smoker BBQ. The chalets for two people feature a king-size bed, while the chalet accommodating four people has one bedroom with a king-size bed and another with a queen-size bed. A large Scandinavian-style chalet that can accommodate up to 10 people offers a memorable group experience. Built directly into the maple sugar shack, this beautiful property provides all the space needed for family gatherings, special celebrations, or get-togethers with friends, all in an exceptional natural setting. All chalets have access to Wi-Fi. In winter, take advantage of our snowshoe rental service to explore the surrounding forest. In spring, ask about a tour of the maple grove to discover the world of maple syrup production. In summer, enjoy a natural swimming pond as well as three fully equipped “ready-to-camp” sites featuring prospector-style tents. A shared sanitary building with showers, toilets, and an outdoor kitchen completes the facilities. Our succulent maple products are available at all times in the boutique in the reception building.

A local gourmet experience
Take advantage of our local food options. When you make your reservation, select one or more meal options and we'll pre-prepare all the ingredients and leave them in your cabin, along with instructions on how to prepare the recipe. Most of the ingredients will be sourced locally, so you can discover the flavours of the gaspesian region at the same time.
