Chantal Poirier lives and works in Saint-Ulric. She is a textile designer and she makes various leather, felt and handmade-waxed cotton objects. She has an alternative, ecological and social mindset. For her, objects must be made to last. Their creation comes from sweat, hard work and the occasional splinter. Creating becomes entertaining with the right tools in hand. Manual labor, from every field of work, fascinates Chantal Poirier and she hopes her creations can meet each need of those workers. Visiting workshops and asking questions has become a hobby of hers. Her business OUT. Accessories and tools is founded in April 2015. Her goal is to use lasting materials to offer products that are beautiful and of great quality but also unique and customized. Her creations blends unique patterns, screens printed by hand, made with thick and lasting materials, waxed or sewed with care in Québec.
