Matane River’s Control Society manages the Controlled Harvesting Zone of the Salmon fishing occurring in the Matane River. The river stretches over a 80 kilometres area, from downtown Matane to the Wildlife Reserve’s Lake. It is one of Quebec’s most famous salmon rivers. Fishing there is easy and accessible, making it a destination of choice for rookies.

Schedule: June 15th to September 30th, from 8 A.M. to 7 P.M.
Services for fishermen:

  • Access rights available for sale;
  • Introductory and development courses for Salmon fishing;
  • Gear rental;
  • Fishing gear boutique;
  • Guided tours suggestions.

River Touring available with individual pleasure boat (including a paddleboard) with the purchase of a 20 $ + taxes access right.
